Egg donation in India
An egg donor, also called an oocyte donor, gives her eggs so that another woman can carry a pregnancy. In India, egg donation is anonymous and governed by the ICMR. Donors are healthy women aged 20 to 30, screened for infections before they donate, and paid up to Rs 50,000 per donation.
